Mango will automatically choose the default zoom level and position of your map based on the extent of the layers it contains, however sometimes it’s preferable to have the map load at a specific area of interest by default.

Setting a custom default load position

In your map editor, zoom and pan the map to your desired position, then open Customization Panel. On the General tab, choose “Use the position & zoom level of the currently visible map” from the radio buttons in the “Default Map Position” section, then press Save.

Setting a point of interest as the default position lets you guide your map users to information.

Now the map will load at the specified zoom level and location.

Restoring the default view

To return to using the default view, just choose “Calculate the position & zoom level using the maximum bounds of all layers” and press Save.

To set which layers are switched on by default, please see xxxxx
