Vector datasets stored in Mango can be exported as Shapefile, CSV, and KML.
Exports are useful when you need to perform bulk updates in a desktop GIS or spreadsheet. Once you've made your updates, you can reupload the dataset to update all maps using the data.
Exports are available to anyone that can access the dataset. For example, a dataset that has been set to Public access can be downloaded by any anonymous person. A Private dataset can only be downloaded by the administrator and known users who have been granted access by the administrator.
To export a dataset, open your Data portal, and open the dataset you wish to export.
On the dataset page, select the appropriate format for the dataset type from the buttons on the upper right of the action bar.
Available export formats are Shapefile, CSV, and KML.
For point data, CSV is suitable, but for line and polygon data, select Shapefile or KML to maintain the geometry data contained in the dataset.
Raster datasets cannot be exported at this time.
The exported dataset will be in Web Mercator projection (EPSG:3857). It's not possible at this time to export data in alternative projections.
