Mango allows unlimited Layers per map, and unlimited Layer Groups, but what is a layer?
Maps made with Mango are composed of stacked "layers" of image tiles rendered from your data, styled with your preferred symbology, then rendered in your browser on top of a basemap.
Each dataset you add to a map becomes a layer. These layers exist within Layer Groups, useful for thematic grouping of similar layers, separating classes of layers, or for creating Comparison maps.
Mango allows unlimited Layers per map, and unlimited Layer Groups.
Bear in mind that each Layer Group increases the data size, and therefore the load time of your webmap.
See the Layer Groups chapter to learn more about optimising your map’s loading time, along with the chapter on setting which layers show on load.
Each layer and Layer Group can be ordered according to your preference. Drag and drop both individual layers and Layer Groups to your preferred display order.
Working with Layers
To add new layers to your map, see Adding a Layer.
To remove unwanted layers from your map, see Deleting a Layer.
To edit a the style, popup, labels, or legend information for an existing layer in a map, open the Layers panel and click on the Pencil icon for the layer you want to edit. See the Layer Settings chapter to learn more.
